Gian Casè (1918-1990), milanese di nascita, allievo di Ernesto Nathan Rogers all’Università di Losanna, ha dapprima collaborato con lo studio BBPR di Milano negli anni della Torre Velasca e quindi con Giulio Minoletti sulla scena architettonica di Milano. Da libero professionista ha operato nel campo dell’architettura civile e ha raggiunto particolare notorietà nel settore del design. Legato al lago di Como per ascendenza materna, vi ha progettato diversi edifici per la villeggiatura, due dei quali a breve distanza l’uno dall’altra nella Zoca de l’Oli, il golfo dell’Isola Comacina: la Casa dell’Architetto (1961) e la Casa dello Scultore (1963). Gian Casè (1918-1990), born in Milan, a pupil of Ernesto Nathan Rogers at the University of Lausanne, first collaborated with the BBPR studio in Milan during the Torre Velasca years and then with Giulio Minoletti on the Milan architectural scene. As an independent architect he worked in the field of civil architecture and achieved particular notoriety in the design sector. Linked to Lake Como by maternal ancestry, he designed several buildings for the holidays on its shores, two of which are located a short distance from each other in the Zoca de l'Oli, the gulf of Isola Comacina: the Casa dell'Architetto ( 1961) and the House of the Sculptor (1963).
